How difficult it is to control our emotions, how complicated it is to have those knots in our throat that we cannot release, for fear of the consequences, but even greater and better is the reward that comes from knowing how to make decisions and know how to act according to the will of God, because sometimes we want to impose our desires, believing that who better than ourselves to know what is best for us, but only in reality God knows us and gives us what we really need.
The enemy will always want to deceive us, painting birds in the air, confusing us with false emotions, with thoughts and coincidences that make us think that it is the will of God and we fall into his traps, that happens when we do not have the discernment of the Holy Spirit, when we base our feelings and decisions on our own desires and not on God.
Many young people today find it hard to wait on God, they live in desperation to have someone by their side, when they are not yet able to sustain a solid relationship with God, then it will be difficult to have one with a partner, as the word says "He who does not love has not known God, for God is love" 1 John 4:8 (Reina-Valera 1960). And if we do not love and live according to the love of God, we will hardly get to know true love in a person.
It is not difficult to understand that God's plans are a thousand times better than ours. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 (Reina-Valera 1960). We always want to live accelerated, making decisions lightly, which bring disastrous and irremediable consequences and that is why we often walk in discouragement and sadness.
We are new creatures in Christ, we cannot lead the same rhythm of life that we had in the world, let us forget to achieve things in the same way as we did in our old life, "As for the former manner of life, put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and holiness of the truth". Ephesians 4:22-24 (Reina-Valera 1960).
The deceitful desires are longings that promise us something false, since we do not renew our thoughts, nor renounce them, they nestle in our mind and when we give room for them they become acts and after having carried them out, we discover that it was all a trap of the devil, and we even deceive ourselves.
The ideal in these cases is that we get fully involved with God, make the Holy Spirit our friend, because He will give us discernment, revelation, wisdom and intelligence, to control our emotions, thoughts and feelings.
Before giving way to a strong feeling and making a decision, let's consult God, and if that situation does not bring peace to your heart, it is better to wait on Him and not do something that you may regret later. Think very well and analyze if the desires you have are products of your carnality or in reality are longings that come from God.
When God created us He thought of everything, He thought of our anatomy, He thought of the things we would need to live, He thought of our dreams, of the plans He has for us, and He also thought of the person He is going to place at your side as the ideal helper. Believe me, nothing escapes God, do not impose your will over His, because it can bring you destruction.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 (Reina-Valera 1960)
